We love you too….for now.

Philly is like a rainbow of personality. If you frequent bars in its different neighborhoods you’re probably already painfully aware of the many drastically different stereotypes that the city has to offer.

Here’s an example, if you head out to Fishtown for the evening odds are you’ll run into this dude.

If you find yourself at National Mechanics on Saturday night be prepared to run into this chick.

Really, I just want one of these T-shirts (it’s funny because it’s true).

I’m a moderately attractive person. I’m never the most beautiful girl in the room. I’m fine with this.

When I lived in South Beach I’d say that I fell somewhere in the lower 30th percentile in terms of my level of attractiveness. Now that I live in Philadelphia I’m easily in the upper 30th.

Here’s why.

Sorry I don’t have a photo here, but if you live in the greater Philadelphia area you’ve no doubt seen this billboard for Sprint. The headline reads “More coverage than cheese on steak” and the photo is a cityscape of downtown Philly with an unidentified light-drawing placed in the middle, nestled between the buildings.

My fiancé and I have debated countless times on what this drawing may be. Sure, it appears to be a cheese grater, but…no…it just CAN’T be…right?

Let’s dismiss the obvious fact that cheesesteaks are one of those things that people talk to people from Philly about when they know jack about Philly. Couldn’t whatever junior team who put this together do five minutes worth of research before hitting dollar beer night to find out that nobody uses a cheese grater for cheesesteak cheese???

That is, assuming it is a cheese grater. If anyone has any other ideas please let us know.
