Ad Dads and their Daughters are the Cutest Thing Ever

I’ve recently come to the conclusion that advertising dads and their daughters are the cutest thing ever. I just imagine the poor moms standing on the sidelines, unable to totally relate. Left to merely behold the mind-crushingly adorable antics that occur between them.

Exhibit A: “Kittens, Inspired by Kittens!”

If you haven’t seen this you must be living in the 9th circle of hell. Fallon dad lovingly edits his daughter’s commentary on her favorite book about kittens. So cute it will make you want to put your head through a wall.

Exhibit B: “Tiny Art Director”

And now THIS. Ad dad takes “briefs” from his four-year-old little girl on what she’d like him to draw and then humbly complies to her fiery criticisms. As if this wasn’t enough cuteness for one blog, drawings are for sale with proceeds going to the kid’s college fund. She’s going to RISD in 2023 for crying out loud. That’s adorable!

Genius, and How We Kill It

So, this was a surprisingly inspiring little talk by Elizabeth Gilbert, author of the best-selling memoir “Eat, Pray, Love.” Maybe you read the book, maybe you didn’t. It doesn’t matter. The way she approaches ideas about the creative process is mind altering and potentially life changing. I’ll be so bold as to say it may even shield your spirit from snarling creative directors and the most conservative minded clients.
